JaCoby Jones Fractures Left Hand, Done For 2020
4 years agoDetroit Tigers outfielder JaCoby Jones will miss the remainder of the 2020 season due to a left hand fracture that he sustained Tuesday. Outfield prospect Derek Hill has been recalled to take Jones’ place on the active roster and will likely see some run in center field alongside Victor Reyes without Jones in the mix. It was a breakout offensive campaign before the injury for Jones, who delivered an .849 OPS and 126 OPS+ through 30 games this year despite spending most of his time at the bottom of the order. Injuries have stunted Jones’ fantasy growth over the years, something owners will want to keep in mind ahead of ‘21, which is when he’ll next be eligible to return to the field.
