2 years agoThe Kansas City Royals released outfielder JaCoby Jones on Tuesday. He signed a minor-league deal with Kansas City during the offseason. The 30-year-old struggled in Triple-A Omaha, slashing .214/.270/.357 across 38 games. He slashed .170/.304/.250 with two home runs, nine RBI, nine runs, and two stolen bases across 105 plate appearances for the Tigers in 2021. Jones will look to latch onto another team searching for outfielder depth, but the former Detroit Tiger is a long shot to reaching the majors in 2022.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
