Jaguars Likely To Make An Offer To D.J. Chark Jr.
3 years agoJacksonville Jaguars impending free-agent wide receiver D.J. Chark Jr. could draw a short-term contract extension from the team, but he's also likely to be coveted by several teams that may be willing to offer him more money. Chark was limited to just four games in 2021 after he suffered a season-ending fractured ankle in Week 4, but he had a breakout performance his sophomore season in 2019 when he caught 73 passes for 1,008 yards and eight touchdowns. In the last two seasons, he has combined for 60 catches, 115 yards and seven touchdowns. The 25-year-old has can succeed deep down the field when healthy, but the Jaguars could prefer to take a chance on one of the top receivers in this year's draft class if they aren't sold on Chark bouncing back from his injury.
