Jaguars Need Nick Foles To Succeed
5 years agoOn Saturday, NFL teams trimmed their rosters down, and the Jacksonville Jaguars chose to go with just two quarterbacks: veteran Nick Foles, who was signed in the offseason, and untested rookie Gardner Minshew. Minshew had a mediocre preseason and doesn't look ready to play serious NFL snaps, so the Jaguars will need Nick Foles to play like the player they were hoping to get when they signed him. Foles has had success at times in the past but also struggled. In Jacksonville, he'll command a run-first offense with some good depth at wide receiver and weakness at tight end. For fantasy purposes, Foles is somewhere around the QB20 mark, but there's upside due to some strong receivers like Dede Westbrook and promising second-year man D.J. Chark.
