Jaguars Set To Pick First In 2022 NFL Draft
3 years agoThe Jacksonville Jaguars, who went 3-14 in 2021, will have the No. 1 overall pick in the 2022 NFL draft on April 28 in Las Vegas. New head coach Doug Pederson has a track record for quarterback development, so the hope is that he'll help Trevor Lawrence, last year's No. 1 overall pick, improve upon a rough rookie campaign. The Jaguars will need to surround him with more talent, beginning at the tackle and wide receiver positions. Jacksonville could also use upgrades at cornerback. Rounding out the top-five picks this year will be the Detroit Lions (No. 2), Houston Texans, New York Jets and New York Giants. The Giants also have another first-round selection at pick No. 7. The Chicago Bears, Indianapolis Colts, Los Angeles Rams, San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks are currently without picks in the first round.
