6 years agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Jaime Garcia wasn’t a recommended play against the below-average Tampa Bay Rays offense on Tuesday, and the results show you exactly why. In a 4-1 loss, Garcia allowed four earned runs on four hits and four walks across five innings pitched, striking out four as well. It was another poor effort for Garcia, which is the way we can describe nearly all of the 31-year-old’s outings in 2018. With a 5.71 ERA and 1.56 WHIP on the season, it becomes clearer that Garcia isn’t worth the headache in just about any format.--John Smith
