7 years agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Jaime Garcia will get the nod for the Blue Jays on Wednesday against the Seattle Mariners, but you should probably steer clear for fantasy purposes. Garcia was destroyed by the Cleveland Indians his last time out, allowing six earned runs in only 3 1/3 innings pitched. That followed two outings where he allowed four and five runs, respectively. For the year, Garcia owns a putrid 6.00 ERA and 1.57 WHIP. He may be streamable in some matchups, and he may even turn things around and become a fairly consistent option at some point, but that’s probably not happening against the Mariners, who roughed up Marcus Stroman on Tuesday.--John Smith
