7 years agoOn Wednesday, we warned you not to start Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Jaime Garcia against the Seattle Mariners. If you did, the results fortunately weren’t as bad as expected, but still were not fantasy worthy. Across five innings pitched, Garcia only allowed one earned run (two total), but did surrendered three hits and a whopping five walks against only three strikeouts in the no-decision. On the plus side, Garcia did lower his ERA to a less-terrible 5.40 with this one. While he remains far from trustworthy, Garcia’s next start does have streaming appeal when he takes the hill on Tuesday in Queens against the New York Mets. We wouldn’t necessarily recommend it, but if you were going to start him, that would be the time to do so.--John Smith
