4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Jake Arrieta threw six shutout innings vs the Braves on Saturday while picking up his first win of the season. Arrieta allowed three hits and a walk while picking up six strikeouts in the stellar effort. Arrieta has now pitched well in both of his starts in 2020 after struggling to a 4.64 ERA with a 4.89 FIP last season. At this point in his career, Arrieta won't rack up a ton of strikeouts so his fantasy ceiling is limited. However, the veteran has shown he can still get Major League hitters out and has entered the streaming conversation for fantasy. He has another good shot at a quality start and a win in his next scheduled start vs Baltimore making him a decent option in 14-team leagues and deeper.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
