4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Jake Arrieta had a start to forget vs the Braves on Sunday Night Baseball. The veteran pitcher was blasted for seven earned runs in just 1 1/3 innings pitched as he took his fourth loss of the season. Arrieta now sports a ghastly 6.49 ERA on the season to go with unflattering peripheral numbers like his .307 batting average against and a 4.99 SIERA. He has been better than this in most of his starts, but Arrieta isn't the type of pitcher that needs to be owned in fantasy as his low strikeout rate limits his upside with his downside being starts like this one that can shatter ratios in a shortened season.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
