4 years agoChicago Cubs starting pitcher Jake Arrieta received his fifth victory of the season on Tuesday versus the Pittsburgh Pirates. Arrieta started the game with three runs allowed in the first two innings, but he would finish the next three innings on a good note. Overall, Arrieta went five innings and allowed five hits, three runs (two earned), one walk and recorded seven strikeouts. The veteran now is the owner of a 4.37 ERA and he is best served as an option in deeper mixed leagues or as a streamer in favorable matchups.
