4 years agoChicago Cubs starting pitcher Jake Arrieta picked up his first loss of the season on Wednesday versus the Milwaukee Brewers. Arrieta went five innings and allowed four hits, three runs, one walk and five strikeouts. Arrieta has looked good in his return to the Cubs and is now 2-1 with a 3.18 ERA. He also has 14 strikeouts and just five walks on the season. Arrieta has lost velocity over the past couple of seasons, but he has worked hard to adjust his command. The early returns have been nice and he is worth a look in deeper leagues. Next up for Arrieta will be a matchup versus the New York Mets on Wednesday.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
