3 years agoChicago Cubs starting pitcher Jake Arrieta suffered his seventh loss of the season on Monday versus the New York Mets. Arrieta went five innings and allowed four hits, four runs, four walks and struck out three on the evening. The four walks were tied with his season-high. Arrieta got off to a nice start in his return to the Cubs, but he has struggled in June. In three June starts, Arrieta has allowed 11 earned runs and seven walks in 12 innings. Arrieta is best served as a streamer in favorable matchups. He is now 5-7 with a 5.14 ERA. His next start will be against the Miami Marlins on Saturday.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
