Jake Arrieta Suffers Tough Loss
4 years agoChicago Cubs starting pitcher Jake Arrieta suffered a tough loss on Sunday versus the Milwaukee Brewers. Arrieta started his day off by loading the bases before issuing a walk to Travis Shaw. That run would be all the Brewers needed to pull off the victory. Arrieta would finish with a line of six innings with two hits allowed, one run, three walks and eight strikeouts. The eight strikeouts were the most the veteran has recorded in five starts this season. Arrieta has not allowed over three runs in any outing this season, and he has now had three quality starts. The right-hander is a fine option for fantasy managers that can deal with his lack of strikeouts. Arrieta will carry a 2.57 ERA into his next matchup against the Reds on Friday.
