Jake Arrieta To Have Season Ending Surgery
5 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Jake Arrieta (elbow) will have surgery to remove a bone spur in his elbow which will end his season. Arrieta said the decision to have the surgery was based on not being able to give the team what they need. Arrieta has a 5.73 ERA in his last nine starts and hasn't gone six innings in a start since June 30 which likely lead to his decision to stop pitching through the injury. He is droppable in all redraft leagues and is losing value in dynasty and redraft leagues as well.
