Jake Arrieta Won’t Return From Injured List On Saturday
3 years agoChicago Cubs starting pitcher Jake Arrieta (hamstring) will not return from the 10-day injured list when eligible. The 35-year-old veteran could have made it back on Saturday, although it appears that he isn't quite there yet after landing on the 10-day injured list over a week ago because of right hamstring tightness. While he has struggled this season, currently sporting a 5-9 record and a 6.30 ERA through 74 innings, he still has some value, primarily when the matchup is right. As a result, he is worth a stash in some formats, mostly N.L. leagues. Cory Abbott was originally called up to take his place, although it now appears as if the team will play things by ear moving ahead.
