Jake Cave Clubs Grand Slam In Blowout Win
4 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Jake Cave got the party started in Sunday's 14-2 blowout of the Chicago White Sox. Cave drilled a fastball over the opposite field wall for a first-inning grand slam. He did strike out twice but those are small potatoes compared to what the Twins are getting from their fourth outfielder. Cave has a home run and 6 RBI in two games so far and has made the absence of Byron Buxton (foot) less noticeable for Minnesota. It's unclear how much playing time Cave will get when Buxton returns, though he could be a nice option in deep leagues as another outfielder for the bench.
