4 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Jake Cave (back) is dealing with a stress reaction in his lower back. Cave was unavailable on Friday night and will be re-evaluated on Saturday- though it certainly sounds like a stint on the injured list could be in the cards. The veteran outfielder has posted a .501 OPS with a 35:6 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 31 games this season. If Cave is forced to miss time, it could mean more starts in center field for Max Kepler and more opportunities for Trevor Larnach at the corner outfield spots. The Twins could also opt to call someone up from Triple-A for added bench depth.--Tim Capurso
