3 years agoSan Diego Padres infielder Jake Cronenworth is batting .190 with a .314 on-base percentage in his first 51 plate appearances of the season. The batting average is decidedly low, but Cronenworth has logged a 13.7% walk rate so far. His batting average and overall production may be impacted by a .229 BABIP, which should even out over time. Cronenworth has also only driven in five runs, but that number should eventually go up as well, as long as he continues to hit behind the likes of Manny Machado, Trent Grisham, and Austin Nola.--Ben Rosener - RotoBaller
