Jake Cronenworth Extends Hitting Streak To Seven
4 years agoSan Diego Padres second baseman Jake Cronenworth finished 2-for-4 with a home run, double, walk, two runs scored and three RBI Monday against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Cronenworth laced an RBI double as part of a four-run first inning before powering a two-run bomb in the fifth to help ice the 6-2 victory. The 27-year-old continues to represent a model of consistency, slashing .281/.351/.445 with nine homers, three steals and 75 runs-plus-RBI over 311 plate appearances. He's currently 9-for-23 (.391 average) with six extra-base hits amidst a seven-game hitting streak. He should remain a valuable middle infield option in most fantasy formats.
