3 years agoSan Diego Padres second baseman Jake Cronenworth went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, double and two runs scored Wednesday against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Cronenworth went back-to-back with Manny Machado in the first frame against starter Trevor Bauer to record a dinger in his third straight contest. Riding a nine-game hitting streak with nine of 21 knocks going for extra bases, the 27-year-old has lifted his slash to .284/.351/.468 with 11 homers, three steals and 81 runs-plus-RBI over 319 plate appearances.
