Jake Cronenworth Steps Up For Friars
3 years agoSan Diego Padres infielder Jake Cronenworth went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two runs scored and two RBI in Sunday's 8-1 rout of the Colorado Rockies. Cronenworth started the scoring in the first frame with a two-run double and finished the series with two homers, four runs and six RBI. With star shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. (shoulder) out indefinitely, the 27-year-old will be relied upon for more offensive production. He's answered the bell so far in 2021, slashing .279/.351/.477 with 15 long balls, four steals and 121 runs-plus-RBI across 446 plate appearances. Cronenworth should remain a versatile infield option in all fantasy formats.
