Jake Fraley Making Late Roster Push
4 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Jake Fraley continued his improved play on Wednesday, going 2-for-3 with a single and a double. He also swiped two bags in the contest. Having entered spring training as the likely opening day starter in left field, Fraley has been surpassed by Taylor Trammell as the favorite for the position. The possibility also remains that Jarred Kelenic could have the job. As things stand, Fraley will be lucky to make the big league roster at all. Since starting the spring on an 0-for-15 cold streak, Fraley has raised his OBP to .396 and added three steals. Should the Mariners run into injury trouble, Fraley could become fantasy relevant during the season, but for now he is well off the radar.
