3 years agoChicago Cubs outfielder Jake Marisnick (hamstring) could return for the upcoming three-game stand against the Padres, which begins on Monday. The 30-year-old has been out since mid-May as he continues to work his way back from a hamstring strain. Although there was a chance that the veteran could have returned during the team's recent trip to San Francisco, he wasn't quite ready. Marisnick is batting .264 this season, and with Joc Pederson (back) day-to-day, the team is hoping he is activated soon.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
