4 years agoThe New York Mets outfielder Jake Marisnick has been dealing with some left hamstring tightness, according to manager Luis Rojas. Marisnick did not play in the Mets' exhibition games against the Yankees on Saturday or Sunday. He was, however, present in Mets' camp on Monday doing baserunning drills. Nevertheless, Marisnick appears questionable to be ready for Opening Day. In 2019, Marisnick hit just .233 with 10 home runs and 34 RBI for the Astros. Marisnick, a career .227 hitter with 54 home runs and 178 RBI in seven seasons with the Marlins and Astros, will serve as a reserve outfielder for the Mets in 2020. Even if healthy to begin the season, it would take a number of injuries to the Mets deep outfield corps for Marisnick to gain any regular playing time. As a result, he should be ignored in all but the deepest of NL-only formats.--Nick Ritrivi - RotoBaller
