7 years agoHouston Astros outfielder Jake Marisnick is back in the lineup Tuesday against the Blue Jays. The team is committed to keeping Marisnick involved in the outfield rotation despite his immense struggles at the plate this season. Marisnick is an excellent defender and opened eyes last season after socking 16 home runs and posting a .496 slugging percentage in 2017. But this season has been a complete nightmare, as he's posted a slash line of .176/.206/.316 with 63 punchouts in only 136 at-bats. The 27-year-old is a spot-start player, at best, and the emergence of speedster Tony Kemp will continue to cut into Marisnick's opportunities moving forward.--Joey C - RotoBaller
