Jake Marisnick Gets Start Tuesday
7 years agoHouston Astros outfielder Jake Marisnick will get the start in center field Tuesday night against the Rays. Marisnick has struggled mightily this season and has received only 25 at-bats in the month of June. He has been passed on the depth chart by Tony Kemp, and the return of veteran Josh Reddick further cuts into Marisnick's playing time. He is only one season removed from slugging .496 with 16 home runs in 230 at-bats, but right now he is slashing an abysmal .173/.198/.323. In 127 at-bats this season, Marisnick has already struck out an astounding 60 times to only four walks all season. There are better fantasy sleeper plays on Tuesday than inserting Marisnick into lineups.
