6 years agoHouston Astros outfielder Jake Marisnick has a favorable matchup if the Astros choose to deploy it Thursday against the Red Sox. Marisnick has gone 1-for-12 with nine strikeouts since popping a home run in his return to the majors on May 24, but has had success against Thursday's starter Drew Pomeranz. In 12 career at-bats, Marisnick is hitting .333 with one triple, two home runs and four runs batted in against Pomeranz. The Astros would love to see any kind of production offensively from a player who can play excellent defense and who hit 16 home runs last season. With Josh Reddick still on the disabled list and Tony Kemp cooling off since his call-up, Marisnick has a strong chance to crack the lineup on Thursday.--Joey C - RotoBaller
