Jake Marisnick Lose Appeal of Suspension
5 years agoHouston Astros outfielder Jake Marisnick lost his appeal of the two-game suspension given to him after he ran over Los Angeles Angel catcher Jonathan Lucroy on July 7. Marisnick was suspended on July 11 after the collision left Lucroy with a concussion and broken nose. Ice cold over his 37 plate appearances in July, Marisnick has zero home runs with two stolen bases, while slashing only .194/.286/.323. Marisnick will sit out Houston's next two games in Cleveland on Tuesday and Wednesday.
