Jake Marisnick Returns From Injured List
3 years agoThe Chicago Cubs have activated outfielder Jake Marisnick (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list on Monday. The backup outfielder has been sidelined since May 11 with a right hamstring strain. Marisnick was having a solid season before the injury and is hitting .264 with four home runs, 14 RBI and a pair of stolen bases. The veteran could see some run if outfielder Joc Pederson (back) remains sidelined and could have some value if he gets an opportunity to start. Starting pitcher Kohl Stewart has been optioned to Triple-A Iowa to make room for Marisnick.
