Jake Marisnick Should Crack Lineup Monday Against Angels
7 years agoHouston Astros outfielder Jake Marisnick has struggled mightily to begin the season, hitting only .130 with 29 strikeouts through 54 at-bats. It has been a miserable beginning for Marisnick, who hasn't knocked in a run since April 10. He has one hit over his last 22 at-bats and his two home runs came during the first two games of the season. Marisnick still is by far the team's best defensive outfielder, so it is likely that the team will be patient with him during this deep slump. Monday presents an excellent opportunity against the Angels' Tyler Skaggs. Marisnick is a perfect 4-for-4 lifetime against Skaggs with one home run. Expect the Astros to play the matchups and find a way to start Marisnick to begin the fantasy week.
