4 years agoSan Francisco Giants relief pitcher Jake McGee shut the door in his first save opportunity of the season Friday against the Mariners. McGee came on to pitch the ninth inning up by three and pitched a 1-2-3 inning with two strikeouts. The veteran had a great 2020 season out of the bullpen for the Dodgers and was signed by the Giants this off-season to hold down a late-inning role. While teammate Tyler Rogers was also mentioned as a potential closer candidate for the Giants this spring, it looks like McGee may get the first crack at maintaining the closer's role. He is worth a look in roto leagues at this time.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
