4 years agoSan Francisco Giants relief pitcher Jake McGee has had a fantastic spring to this point. As of Wednesday, the 34-year-old has faced 19 batters; he has allowed one hit (a single), has not allowed any walks, and has struck out six. McGee had a successful 2020 season with the Dodgers and showed that he can be an effective arm out of the bullpen despite relying almost exclusively on his fastball. Given his performance this spring, it seems that McGee would have a good chance to be the team's closer should they use a traditional closer. Even if they don't, he should probably see a fair number of save opportunities so long as he continues to pitch well.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
