2 years agoHouston Astros outfielder Jake Meyers (shoulder) started his minor league rehab assignment with Triple-A Sugar Land on June 3 and went 0-for-4 in his first game. Meyers had surgery on Nov. 10 to fix a torn labrum in his left shoulder that he suffered while making a catch in the American League Division Series against the Chicago White Sox. He was expected to see significant time in center field this year after a solid showing in his rookie season, when he hit .260/.323/.438 with six home runs, 28 RBI, 22 runs scored and three stolen bases in 49 games played. It's unclear if the Astros still plan on giving Meyers significant playing time in the big leagues when he's ready, but fantasy managers in deeper leagues should continue to track his progress.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
