3 years agoHouston Astros center fielder Jake Meyers will start and bat eighth Monday night against the Mariners. The 25-year-old has been a pleasant revelation in the second half of the season after being called up August 1. Meyers is hitting .315 over his last 15 starts and has at least one hit in 18 of his last 21 starts. Meyers has been a jolt at the bottom of a potent lineup and is slugging .488 through his first 86 at-bats. But the outfielder has only three walks compared to 29 strikeouts this season, providing little on-base upside.--Joey C - RotoBaller
