5 years agoMinnesota Twins starter Jake Odorizzi did his part on Tuesday night, allowing just one run on two hits over six innings as the Twins would beat the Tigers 4-2 and reduce their magic number to two. Odorizzi struck out seven and only walked one, finally getting some run support from a pair of two-run hits by Willians Astudillo and Eddie Rosario in the seventh frame. The right-hander was removed after warming up before the seventh for precautionary reasons after Odorizzi felt his hamstring start to cramp up, but the team is showing no current concerns for the future. While Odorizzi is scheduled to start the last game of the season in Kansas City on Sunday, that will likely change if the Twins have already clinched the division title.--Nicklaus Gaut - RotoBaller
