Jake Odorizzi Feeling Great After Simulated Game
4 years agoMinnesota Twins pitcher Jake Odorizzi (intercostal) threw for four frames in a simulated game on Monday. Odorizzi said he feels great after throwing 52 pitches at CHS Field in Saint Paul. The 30-year-old had a tight back earlier in summer camp, though it's now being described as an intercostal strain, which makes it more of a chest issue. Minnesota could use Odorizzi right about now with Homer Bailey (biceps) on the injured list and Rich Hill's start being skipped for an unknown reason. It's shaping up to be a start against the Royals for Odorizzi's return, which would be a fantasy-friendly environment.
