Jake Odorizzi Forced From Game In Fifth Inning
7 years agoMinnesota Twins right-hander Jake Odorizzi struggled through a snowy, windy day in Pittsburgh on Wednesday. Odorizzi lasted just 4 1/3 innings, allowing three runs on five hits while walking three and striking out two. While it wasn't a disastrous start for the right-hander, he did cough up two leads and failed to work deep enough into the game to be eligible for the win. Odorizzi has now made two starts this season, posting a 2.61 ERA, nine strikeouts, and five walks in 10 1/3 innings of work. Things won't get any easier for the 28-year-old as he's set to face off against the Houston Astros in his next start this coming Tuesday.
