Jake Odorizzi Pitches Seven Scoreless Innings
6 years agoMinnesota Twins right-hander Jake Odorizzi spun seven scoreless innings in a 1-0 win over the Houston Astros on Monday. Odorizzi struck out seven and walked one in the win. The victory raises Odorizzi's record to 3-2 with a 3.34 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, and 30 strikeouts in 29 2/3 innings of work, spanning six starts. The veteran right-hander got off to a rough start this season but has gotten back on track since. Over his past three starts, Odorizzi has allowed just three runs in 18 1/3 innings of work. He has turned into a solid streaming option who is worth keeping rostered in deeper leagues. He will be a recommended fantasy option in his next start, which comes against a banged-up New York Yankees lineup.
