Jake Odorizzi Throws Seven Scoreless Innings
2 years agoHouston Astros starting pitcher Jake Odorizzi was at his best Sunday, throwing seven scoreless innings against the Seattle Mariners, though he was not able to earn the win after reliever Ryne Stanek gave up the lead in the eighth inning. Odorizzi allowed just two hits and two walks while striking out eight batters. He has a 4-3 record with a 3.75 ERA and 1.15 WHIP with 46 strikeouts in 60 innings over 12 starts this season. Odorizzi's name has come up in trade rumors despite his success, and his fantasy value could take a hit, depending on his destination if he is moved.
