3 years agoDetroit Tigers catcher Jake Rogers (arm) was placed on the 10-day injured list on Monday due to right arm soreness, according to Cody Stavenhagen of The Athletic. In a corresponding move, the Tigers recalled catcher Grayson Greiner from Triple-A Toledo. Rogers is slashing .239/.306/.496 over 38 games this season with six home runs, 17 RBI and 17 runs scored. Rogers has been splitting time behind the plate this year with Eric Haase, but between the two of them, Haase is the better Detroit catcher to roster — even before Rogers landed on the IL.
