3 years agoSan Francisco Giants starting pitcher Jakob Junis was placed on the 15-day IL Saturday with a left hamstring strain. After being removed from his start Friday, Junis had an MRI today that showed a grade two hamstring strain. As this is not a mild strain, expect Junis to miss well over the minimum 15 days. Usually, this type of injury requires three to six weeks of recovery. Junis had been a nice surprise this year, posting a 2.63 ERA and 0.96 WHIP with good underlying numbers to go with it. Hopefully, he can return with the same stuff he's had in the early going.--Matt Garon - RotoBaller
