Jakobi Meyers Could Get Second-Round Tender
3 years agoNew England Patriots wide receiver Jakobi Meyers is expected to remain with the organization in 2022. In fact, the Patriots are likely to use a second-round tender on Meyers, assuming the two sides don't agree on a deal. That tender would be worth $3.9 million, which seems like a good deal for New England. Last season, Meyers led the team in both receptions and receiving yards. Despite that, it's tough to believe Meyers is a true No. 1 wideout. It's hard to believe Meyers is going to continue putting up these numbers every season. Fantasy managers should expect Meyers to lose value, assuming the Patriots bulk up at receiver this offseason. He could still be a decent asset, but it's unlikely he gets anywhere near his 83-catch 2021 campaign again.
