6 years agoNew England Patriots wide receiver Jakobi Meyers is making a serious case to break camp with the team and play a role in Week 1. Meyers has stood out countless times throughout camp, making catches all over the field. He has backed that up with six catches for 69 yards and two touchdowns in the first preseason game. Veteran Phillip Dorsett still is in the teams plans but has been banged up at times during practice sessions. The Patriots wide receiving room is in a state of flux, with players like Josh Gordon and Julian Edelman on the cusp of practicing for the first time all season.
