Jalen Hurd Offers Potential Positional Versatility
5 years agoAt 6’5’’ and 226 pounds, San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jalen Hurd could be a versatile asset entering 2019. A former running back with the size to play tight end, Hurd has proven he can learn a new position and could be a matchup nightmare for defenses. His biggest hurdle will be learning head coach Kyle Shanahan’s complex offense. Hurd’s profile and skillset are key differentiators compared to the Niners other receivers Dante Pettis, Marquise Goodwin and second-round pick Deebo Samuel. If Hurd transitions to various positions, he could earn multiple tags, making him universally more valuable in fantasy. With a strong training camp, Hurd could earn a path to reps and would emerge as a standard league sleeper to accompany an already-strong dynasty value.
