3 years agoSan Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jalen Hurd (knee) has been ruled out for Week 1 versus the Detroit Lions. Head coach Mike Shanahan said earlier in the week that Injured Reserved was a possibility, but it looks like for now that he will remain on the 53-man roster. Hurd was drafted in 2019, but injuries have prevented him from making his NFL debut and he is currently recovering from a torn ACL that he suffered in 2020. Even when healthy, Hurd has plenty of options ahead of him in the 49ers offense and he is unlikely to carry much value. He can be left on the waiver wire for now.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
