3 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts (ankle) is officially inactive in Week 13 against the New York Jets. The Eagles wanted to see how Hurts looked Sunday morning, but they made the decision to hold him out. Gardner Minshew, who made 20 starts for the Jacksonville Jaguars the last two seasons, will start under center in an excellent matchup against a Jets defense that has surrendered the fourth-most passing yards per game (266.2) on the season. And head coach Nick Sirianni hinted that the Eagles offense could look different with Minshew under center, so there could be a shift away from the run-heavy approach that the Philly offense has maintained in recent weeks. Minshew Mania is back, even if it's just for one game.
