Jalen Hurts Will Start Under Center In Week 15
3 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts (ankle) has been bumped off the team's injury report ahead of Tuesday's matchup with Washington, confirming him as the starting quarterback for Week 15. The news was expected after Hurts was able to practice in full again Monday, giving him the chance to face Washington for what could be the first of two times over the next three weeks. Hurts struggled mightily in a Week 12 defeat his last time out, throwing a career-high three interceptions vs. the Giants. After a one-game absence, Hurts will bump Gardner Minshew from the starting gig, reasserting himself as a top-tier DFS option, along with solid season-long upside due to his reliance on the run game. Hurts has exceeded 200 yards passing just once since Week 4, so he does carry an element of risk, but his eight rushing touchdowns this year provide enough substance to balance that out in many formats.
