3 years agoSouth Alabama wide receiver Jalen Tolbert is heading to Dallas after being taken with the No. 88 pick of the 2022 NFL Draft. The Cowboys were rumored to focus on the wideout position earlier than the third round. Yet, the club waited and landed the 2021 Sun Belt Conference Offensive Player of the Year instead. The 23-year-old finished his final college season by racking up a school-record 82 catches for eight touchdowns and nearly 1,500 yards. He will now be paired with Dak Prescott, who has proven to be one of the most potent fantasy quarterbacks over the years. Nonetheless, Dallas will enter the 2022-23 campaign without Amari Cooper, who is now in Cleveland, so Tolbert could be in line for a meaningful position on the depth chart, with CeeDee Lamb the only receiver nearly guaranteed to have a more prominent role. Michael Gallup (knee) is recovering from a torn ACL, which may open up the No. 2 spot, at least for a little while. Still, it's too early to tell how things will play out regarding Gallup's health, which may complicate things at bit surrounding Tolbert's fantasy outlook.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
