Jalen Tolbert Not A Lock To Be Active Sunday Night?
2 years ago105.3 The Fan's Bryan Broaddus said he's heard that Dallas Cowboys rookie wide receiver Jalen Tolbert might be a healthy scratch in the Week 1 season opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday night. CeeDee Lamb has given a lot of praise to Simi Fehoko and Noah Brown, while KeVontae Turpin will be active. It might come down to Tolbert and fellow rookie Dennis Houston for the final receiver spot on Sunday. Tolbert was hyped up in training camp with both James Washington (foot) and Michael Gallup (knee) out with injuries, but the 23-year-old didn't exactly look ready in preseason action. And with Gallup recovering very quickly, Tolbert might not have much of a role at all early in the season if he doesn't play in the season opener. Avoid him for starting lineups in Week 1.
